GB ALFA sylinder body, the piston rod and all of ferrule are designed of high resistant steel and undergo thermal treatments and surface finishing such as to guarantee elevated performances and long endurance. Each cylinder's internal lubrication system guarantees longer endurance of sliding parts, drastically decreasing maintenance interventions and increasing productivity. OPERATING AND WORKING CONDITIONS
GB Nitrogen is introduced inside the cylinder until the maximum pressure of 150 bar is reached. In resting conditions the gas pressure acts on the piston rod section and pushes it outwards with a resultant force equal to the cylinder starting force (the force measured in daN is obtained from the product of the bar pressure by the section of the piston rod in cm2). As the piston rod moves through the inside of the tube the gas has more power because it is under pressure. The nitrogen cylinder has a behavior similar to that of a traditional mechanical spring, but contrary to the traditional spring the nitrogen cylinder does not need a pre-charge.
